Independent Schools of the Year Awards 2021
We are delighted to announce that the Stamford Schools have been shortlisted for the Independent School Parent magazine’s Independent Schools of the Year Awards 2021, in the Community Outreach (SES) , Girls’ School of the Year (SHS) and Boys’ School of the Year (SS) categories.
The aim of the awards, now in their fourth year, is to highlight the excellence of student experience in independent schools.

The Independent Schools Council (ISC) was founded in 1973 and currently represents over 1,300 independent schools educating over 500,000 children in the UK. The aim of ISC is to promote and protect the independent education sector. The ISC achieve this through; engaging with policy and public affairs, provides Media and communications support, and collecting sector specific data and conducting research including the ICS Census.

The Stamford Schools are proud to announce that we are adopting the BSA COVID-Safe Charter to ensure robust and safe guidelines for our boarders when they return to school.
The Charter is a voluntary code which schools can adhere to, with the aim of providing reassurance that the Schools are following all appropriate measures to make the boarding environment safe for pupils and staff to live, work and study.

The Primary Science Quality Mark (PSQM) is the only national award scheme to develop and celebrate the quality of science teaching and learning in primary schools, and is achieved through a year-long process of audit, action and evidence-based reflection. Stamford Junior School were specifically praised for their engagement of the whole-school community in the teaching and learning of science.

The Good Schools Guide is an independent and impartial directory “written by parents, for parents”. Available both online and published annually, the guide describes itself as “the straight-talking, independent, unbiased and fun-guide to UK state and private schools”.
