BTEC Sport students enjoy further industry insight
BTEC Sport students at the Stamford Schools’ have received their second lecture from sports and leisure industry experts, providing real world insights for their ‘Investigating Business in the Sport and Leisure Industry’ module.
Mr Tom Fletcher, Manager of Anytime Fitness- Peterborough, spoke to students about his role and the impact of COVID on the industry, including discussion into the effects of the virus on the landscape of the fitness industry long term.
Harvey Ratcliffe, Year 12 pupil at Stamford School, said: “I can speak for all of us that we are all very happy to have been given the chance, especially in these tough times, to have been able to speak with Tom. We have all benefited from the very informative, back and forth, Q&A which has given us a wider understanding in areas that we weren’t so clear on. We thank you Tom for that.”
