Charlie shoots to success
A student at Stamford School has seen success at the British Open Sporting and Sportrap Shooting Competiton.
Charlie G, Year 10 at Stamford School, placed joint fourth in his category of the competiton, that took place over five days at the EJ Churchill Swindon Estate in North Yorkshire.
Sportrap, originating from “sporting” and “trap” represents both disciplines of shooting. Within sportrap they shoot in a line for a total of five shooters. This is done in stands similarly to trap, however, with shots being taken within cages, similar to English sporting.
