First XI Off to a Flyer
Stamford School First XI got their 2018 season off to a flying start in a range of different cricketing formats. Sadly, the English Spring Rain put pay to their residential pre-season training but nonetheless, they have hit the ground running!
In their first outing, they knocked Uppingham out of the National U17 Cup with Patrick Harrington and Jack Martin doing the damage with the bat. Following that Ben Woodward and Joe Baxter enjoyed great knocks to beat Trent College. They then faced Leicester Grammar School and Oakham School in the first two rounds of the National T20.
In two superb games, they finished victorious to keep their hot streak going in a great start to the season!
