Isabella wins gold for Cambridgeshire
A student at Stamford Junior School has won tennis gold for Cambridgeshire at the County Cup.
Year 3 student, Isabella, plays for the Cambridgeshire County Squad, and represented them as their number one at the U9 County Cup against Bedfordshire, Norfolk and Suffolk, winning team gold and progressing to the finals.
This adds to her growing list of achivements, after being ranked 14th in the country by the Lawn Tennis Association at the U9 Girls Singles level.
Isabella’s aspires toachieve a top 10 Lawn Tennis Association ranking for the U9 girls tennis team by the end of 2021. To achieve this goal she is training for six hours per week, and entering a minimum of two tournaments per month. She would also like to ‘be a professional tennis player and gymnasts when she’s older.’
