Four Stamford Endowed Schools pupils have recently received conditional offers from Oxford and Cambridge universities to study their chosen degrees.
Daisy Jowers, (Y13) has been offered to read Philosophy, Politics and Economics at Magdalen, Oxford. Alice Kirby (Y13) has received an offer to study Veterinary Science at Fitzwilliam College, Cambridge along with Mateja Soretic (Y13) who has also been offered a place at Fitzwilliam College to read Natural Sciences. Sam Rudd-Jones (Y13) has received a place at King’s College, Cambridge to read Music.
The Stamford Endowed Schools have a strong tradition of their students gaining entry to these universities and it is extremely encouraging that the offers reflect the academic excellence at SES. Competition for places at Oxford and Cambridge universities is always fierce so, these offers represent a significant achievement for these students.
Will Phelan, Principal of the Stamford Endowed Schools said, “These offers are testament to the dedication of the students. They have worked tirelessly in preparation for their Oxbridge entrance examinations and I am delighted that they have been rewarded with these offers. They should be immensely proud. Congratulations to all.”
