Pampering in Park House
Boarding students at Stamford High School have enjoyed an afternoon of pampering following their virtual learning.
Students indulged with face masks, hand massages and foot spas in Park House, before tucking into some healthy snacks. Ellie, Year 7, said: “It was a very relaxing afternoon, and I had a lot of fun!”
The session was arranged as one of the Schools’ ‘wellbeing afternoons’, where lessons are paused for one afternoon a week and students are encouraged to enjoy some fresh air and take some time for themselves.
Jasmine, Year 11, said: “I love our wellbeing afternoons, as they give you a sense of change and excitement, when everyday at the moment feels the same. The ‘Park House Spa’ was such a relaxing afternoon, as well as fun; there were a wide range of healthy and sweet snacks for ‘guests’ to choose from and it made you feel very much as though you were doing something special.
“There was chatter and laughter as we completed each spa day activity, and we went on a walk before hand meaning we had some fresh air and were ready to relax. It helped me wind down and forget about all of the stress of the pandemic and my GCSEs. I had a brilliant day, I have soft hands and feet, and I had even better sleep that night.”
