SES launch Staff Activity Challenge
We’re excited to announce the launch of the SES Staff World Peaks Challenge 2021.
Staff from the Stamford Schools will aim to cover 40,638 miles over the next four weeks, covering the equivalent distance of the world peaks and back, as a fitness initiative aimed to increase staff wellbeing and boost morale.
Groups of three to six staff members will track how far they cumulatively walk, run, cycle and swim over a 4 week period, with all team’s distances contributing to the final mileage. The peaks virtually tackled include: Ben Nevis, Mont Blanc, Mount Olympus, Mount Elbrus, K2, Mount Everest, Mount Fuji, Mount Kilimanjaro, Mount Fitz Roy, Licancabur Mountain, Popocatépetl Mountain and El Capitan.
Teams this year include FlabbYgasted, Cirque du Sore Legs, Wandering Nomads, HR with Altitude and Peaky Linguists!
This fitness initiative, developed by the SES Wellbeing Team, is in its second year. Last year’s event, where staff walked the distance of once around the world, saw over 200 staff members participate, click here to read more.
