Successful term of Badminton for Stamford
The Stamford Endowed Schools are celebrating a successful term of Badminton, concluding the year with wins from both the A and B Teams against Oakham School. Against challenging competition, the A team won thirteen games to five, where the B Team won eleven games to seven.
Mr Mike Smith, SES Head of Badminton, said: “The Schools Badminton Squad have had an excellent term, playing mixed matches against Uppingham, Oundle and Oakham.
“It has been very pleasing to see the improvement in technique and ability from all players throughout the term.
“Thanks must go to all the students for their dedication and hard work throughout the term, with special mentions to Michael Leo and Heidi Hooper as team captains. They have done a splendid job organising and motivating the team each week, and I am very grateful for their help and support.
“I very much look forward to seeing what results the squad can achieve post-Christmas!”
