Year 6 success at ‘In2Hockey’ Tournament
An energetic team of nine Year 6 pupils were invited to play at the U11 England Hockey ‘In2Hockey’ East Regional Tournament, held in Ipswich.
Having competed in challenging matches against Junior Kings, Framlingham and Ashford, Stamford won against Bedford Modern and Holmwood House to take 13th place in the East.
Mr Duncan Buckmaster, Director of Hockey at the Stamford Endowed Schools, said: “It was great to see the girls developing throughout the day and making progress with the principles that we had talked about for each game, resulting in their improve performances in the last two games of the afternoon.”
In2Hockey is a small-sided version of Hockey, designed for U10-U14s.
