The Registrar for Stamford School is Mrs Suzie Brownlow. Mrs Brownlow is your first point of contact throughout the admissions process and will look after your daughter’s application until she joins us as a pupil.

Applying to Stamford High School
It’s advisable to get in touch at least twelve months before you would like your daughter to join us, so that you have time to visit us, meet the Head and other members of staff, and to submit your application in good time. Where we have spaces available, we can process your application much more quickly, but some entry points are often oversubscribed, so we recommend you get in touch as early as you can.
To apply, please return the application form, and pay the registration fee of £100. Girls joining us in Year 7 to Year 10 will sit online tests in English and maths. Most applicants will attend for assessment on a Saturday in January, but for those who apply later in the year we can arrange assessment on a date to suit your family, as long as we have places available. We’ll ask your daughter’s current school for a reference, and if your daughter has completed Common Entrance we shall also take those results into account. Sixth Form applicants will be interviewed by a senior member of staff, and we’ll also look at predicted GCSE results.
If your daughter is interested in boarding – increasingly popular as an option in the Sixth Form, as the girls start to look ahead to university or their next steps after school – we advise a taster stay as part of the application process. Mrs Brownlow can arrange this for you together with any other visits or assessment dates that may be required.
