Rugby success at U11A IAPS Festival
Mr Richard Lang, Teacher of PE at Stamford Junior School, reports on their recent IAPS rugby success:
“The U11A Rugby team enjoyed a hugely successful day at the IAPS Festival held at Ratcliffe College.
“With an opening loss in the first match of the day, the team managed to pull together and win their remaining four group matches. This culminated in a final match against Witham Hall, who finished second in their group, to determine who placed third in the Festival.
“The Boys’ showed a huge amount of grit and determination to deny Witham crossing the SJS try line and in return, some scintillating attacking play saw Stamford score the only try of the match and thus placing third overall.
“A very proud day for all the boys’ and they fully deserve to finish the season on a high note.”
