Students approach finish line of Fire Fighters Fundraiser

Stamford Sixth Form Prefects are approaching the virtual ‘finish-line’ in their fundraiser for The Fire Fighters Charity, following the fire at Stamford School earlier this month.

The students have cumulatively walked, run and cycled 413km of their 576km target distance, and the Stamford community have been sharing their updates across social media with the hashtag #StamfordianSpirit.

Mrs Charles, Teacher at Stamford High School, has been out supporting the campaign with 4 miles completed.

“Supporting you #sesprefects and your fundraising for #thefirefighterscharity. Pleased I went today the breeze was much needed, my husband’s offer of coming to get me if not back in an hour wasn’t!”

Prefect, Sophie Newport, has completed her challenge:

Director of External Relations, Hannah Hamilton, has also been out in support of the campaign.

“I’ve made a donation as well, but I went out this morning to clock up a few miles in support of all our wonderful prefects. Well done all of you for raising money for this fantastic charity!”
