Our Swim School will be returning January 2021 (following government COVID guidance).
The Stamford Swim School is open to pupils of the Schools, parents and the public and offers lessons to children from the age of 4 right up to adults following the Amateur Swimming Association (ASA) Learn to Swim Framework. Lessons run after school and in the evening during weekdays as well as at weekends, throughout the majority of the year. There is also Water Polo, Competitive Swimming/Diving, and Synchronised Swimming for the higher levels once a student has reached and passed level 7.
Our dedicated ASA qualified team of teachers will provide your child with a specific progress report at the end of each term. All teachers are Enhanced DBS checked. The Stamford Swim School prides itself on the quality and wealth of experience that all of our swim teachers have. Most of our teachers hold the level 2 swim teacher certificate and others are working towards this qualification.

ASA 'Learn to Swim Framework'
The Swim School lessons are run in accordance with the National Plan for Teaching Swimming (NPTS) as endorsed by the Swim England Learn to Swim Framework. The Swim England Learn to Swim Framework is about developing confident and competent swimmers through fun and enjoyment, and Learn to Swim stages 1-7 are at the heart of the Swim England Learn to Swim Programme.
To help ascertain your child’s level the below checklist can be used. However, we still highly recommend a free assessment performed by a teacher – these are every Saturday at 12pm and must be pre-booked.
